THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE!
Blood has been called the river of life because it carries oxygen and nutrients throughout your body. As a donor, please share this precious gift of life with your neighbors. Patients seldom require all of the components of whole blood. Therefore, as many as 3 people may benefit from a single unit of donated whole blood. Make your appointment today. Contact Joey Godbold via Email <<Click Here>>

Before Giving Blood
•Drink lots of fluids 48 hours before donating
•Get a good night’s sleep
•Eat a well-balanced breakfast

Many of our church members feel called to serve others by participating in non church sponsored ministries. We encourage all members to serve where they are called and led by God.
We support other organizations by letting them use our facilities and supporting them monetarily or through volunteering. Some of these are as follows (for more detail <<CLICK>> on the name below to be directed to a specific Web Site):
Boy Scouts of America Girl Scouts of America Young Life

Since 1996, the Urban Ministry Center has been working with congregations of many faiths, as well as with colleges, to open their facilities one night a week to provide shelter and food for the homeless during the winter months. Carmel Presbterian Church participates in the "Room In The Inn" program by opening it's doors several nights during the winter months to feed & house men, women & children who have fallen on hard times. It's a great time for fellowship & worshipping together.
Each of the sites through out Charlotte offers a warm, safe place to sleep and serves two meals (dinner and breakfast) and returns guests to the Urban Ministry Center the following morning. The Room in the Inn program began with 20 shelter sites. During the 2006-2007 year, it had grown to almost 100 congregations and colleges providing 14,750 beds for 1,247 neighbors, involving well over 5,000 volunteers.
