The same wood supplier that came before has offered to stop off in Charlotte on his outbound journey if enough are interested. He has even offered to bring specific sizes and species of wood if we can supply him with our wants or needs. If you are interested reply to this email with your requirements. I can’t address the cost but everyone who purchased wood last time had no complaints. Heck I bought wood just because it was pretty J.
So, if you want basswood, butternut, diamond willow, or whatever, send me an email with your wishes. Please be prepare to purchase whatever you special order.
I do NOT have a date when the requests must be in nor do I have know exactly when the supplier will be coming through Charlotte. I’m sending this now so you can share with your “wood, sawdust and chip loving friends” so everyone will have ample time to create their wish list
Send me your emails. A.S.A.P. I’ll send the dates as soon as they can be firm up . Thanks Earl (shodon@bellsouth.net)

News
“CHARLOTTE WOODCARVERS”! It is only seven months until our Showcase of Woodcarvers Show – 2011. Each year we have 500-600 carvings from about 100 carvers. If each CWC member would submit just two carvings each for the show, we could have about 180-200 carvings from our own club participating. Lets keep chipping members! Of course, five each would be even better. And don’t forget that we need carvings for the raffle – a huge fundraiser for us. Just one each? “ For information, Earl is working diligently to obtain the Parks and Rec venue at Marion Diehl again and should have more details by August 1 or so. A massive campaign follows that and we are on our way. Keep carving! And begin to think of how you might volunteer at the show to assist Earl – he will be contacting you for your assistance.”
